Who We Are
FRANCES ASSOCIATES was founded by Ed Kurocka
on the premise that customer satisfaction is a product of employee
satisfaction, and that employees are the key to competitive advantage!
To help organizations see how employee behavior can drive success,
Ed developed the Competitive Advantage Model.
Ed transitioned to independent consulting from a distinguished career
in corporate human resources management. In his major roles as a
Compensation Manager, Human Resources Operations Manager, and
Senior Compensation Consultant/Client Manager, he consistently
balanced client needs with corporate objectives to provide effective
HR and performance compensation solutions to his clients in the
Mid Atlantic and Southeast states.
Ed has been a featured presenter at compensation and benefit workshops,
and has been published in the WorldatWork Journal. He is an active
member of the Society for Human Resources Management and
WorldatWork (formerly American Compensation Association). Ed received
a BA in English and Liberal Arts from The College of New Jersey,
and as an adjunct to his interests and profession, recently earned a Master
of Science degree in Organizational Dynamics from the University of
In his leisure time, Ed enjoys gardening, home improvement projects, and
weekend getaways with his wife. They support the arts, and especially enjoy
classical music and opera. Ed serves on the Executive Board of the
Greater Trenton (NJ) Symphony Orchestra, chairs their Planning Committee,
and is a member of the marketing and fundraising committee.
